Curriculum vitae

• Irene was born in Turin in 1972. She got her High School leaving qualification in Arts in 1990. She has then attended several professional courses on trompe l’oeil, on illustration, advertising graphic design, and computer graphics. She started to work as a visualiserfor advertizing campaign with a popular communication network in Turin. Later, herexperience developed into the digital areaand she carried out realistic illustrations of cars’ prototypes on computer silicon graphics.

WORK EXPERIENCE and ACHIEVEMENTS

1995 – 2004

• She entered the magic world of cartoons and worked for various studios in Turin. Initially with the “Lanterna Magica” (the magic lamp), later with the Tiptoe Co-operative studio, of which she is co-founder and finally with Enarmonia. During these years she has carried out cartoons, layout, storyboards, backgrounds and final check of some popular full-length films among which:The Blue Arrow, Lucky and Zorba, Aida of the Trees, The Little Polar Bear, Totò Sapore, The 3 Wise Men etc, and for several TV series among which La Pimpa, Les Tres Bessones, Lupo Alberto, etc. She has dealt with the “stop motion” technique for the pilot episode of the series Nanà produced in Milan. She started to draw and paint animal portrays.

2001

• She edited her own exibition in her city, displaying animal portraits realized with a very special technique: oil on velvet. She also took part in several collective painting exhibition.

2004

• She moved to the Aosta Valley and she worked as a graphic and web designer.

2005.

• She enroled in a Regional course on sculpture on wood.

2009-2010

• She attended the Regional Bottega School on sculpture on wood by the studio of the Master Craftsman Franco Crestani, getting at the end the relative professional certificate.

2009

• She took part in the “56th Competitive Exibition of the Traditional Handicraft of the Aosta Valley”, theme “The Meeting”, and she won the second prize with a bas-relief sculpture.

2010

• She took part in the “57th Competitive Exibition of the Traditional Handicraft of the Aosta Valley”, theme “The Awakening”, winning the Special Prize of the Public

• She took part in the “4th Competitive Exibition Nöel au Bourg, Cribs on display at Bard”, winning the 1st Prize for her all-round sculpture.

• She took part for the first time in the Foire d’été (42nd edition) as amateur artisan.

2011

• She took part for the first time in the Foire de Saint-Ours (1011th edition) as amateur artisan.

• She took part in the “58th Competitive Exibition of the Traditional Handicraft of Aosta Valley” with theme “The Waiting”, winning the Special Prize of the Public.

• She took part in the 43rd Foire d’été as artisan hobbyst.

• She enroled in the Regional Register of the Traditional Artisans. Since then, wood-carving has become her profession.

2012

• For the first time she took part in the 1012th Foire deSaint-Ours as professional artisan and won the Prize “La Foire au Féminin”, given by the F.I.D.A.P.A. (a special section for the feminine entrepreneurial class) for the sculpture, “Les Sabots de Maman”.

• She joined the Association of professional sculptors of the Aosta Valley ArtZapot.

• She took part in the 44th Foire d’été as professional artisan.

• She took part in the live sculpture symposium “Ayas Artisanat”, organized by the Association ArtZapot in collaboration with Ayas’ Municipality in the wood of Pian Villy near Champoluc.
